Native Nations Day

This family friendly event celebrates 4000+ years of indigenous culture in Tucson through art, food, and performances.
Presentation:
Brandon Varela, Director of the Old Pascua Museum and Yaqui Culture Center, will discuss the significance of the Deer Dance to the Yaqui (Yoeme) people.
Performances:
Yaqui Deer Dancers from the Old Pascua community
Demonstrations/vendors may include:
Pottery, silversmithing, gourd making, basket making, digital arts, flintknapping, and much more!
Food:
Sherri’s Frybread with sweet and savory toppings.
