SUMMARY:Monthly Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Walk around Mission Garden to look for seasonal and resident birds. Learn to identify some common calls and songs of the birds here. The garden is a good place for beginning and intermediate birders to learn about many of the birds common to the greater Tucson area. Check in with Kevin (the roadrunner) and our resident chickens. We always check the hummingbird feeder to see what hummingbirds are visiting it! \nWalks usually last about one and half hours. Walking is easy in the garden and the paths\, while not paved\, are made of compacted material that is ADA compatible and suitable for wheelchairs and walkers. The length of this walk is 0.50 to 0.75 mile.

SUMMARY:Barrio Stories
DESCRIPTION:Barrio Stories: 10-Year Celebration \nNovember 12–15\, 2026 \nTucson Convention Center – Alva B. Torres Plaza \nFor ten years\, Borderlands Theater’s Barrio Stories has brought the histories\, memories\, and\nlived experiences of Tucson’s oldest barrios to life through bold\, professional theater rooted in\ncommunity. This special anniversary edition marks that milestone with a larger celebration of\nthe traditions and communities that continue to shape Tucson.\nThe program features plays by Chanel Bragg\, Lydia Otero\, Milta Ortiz\, Marc David Pinate\,\nElaine Romero\, Veronica Weatherbie\, and Martín Zimmerman\, directed by Julian\nCardenas. \nAlong with live theater\, audiences can explore heritage workshops and demonstrations\, a\nBarrio museum exhibit\, Barrio Viejo tours\, and daily concerts throughout the celebration.\nThere’s no way to experience everything happening at Barrio Stories—and that’s part of the\nadventure. Think of it as a cultural adventure park: choose the experiences that call to you\, or\nsimply go with the flow and discover what you discover along the way.\nRegular admission is a $25 suggested donation. \nVIP access is available exclusively with a Borderlands Theater Season Pass. Season Pass\nholders receive parking\, a Barrio Viejo tour\, reserved seating\, and entry to the celebration — plus\ntwo more Season 40 productions at 20% off.\nExperience tradition as treasure in Barrio Stories like you’ve never seen it before.
