America’s Semiquincentennial and Arizona Statehood

March 14 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free
The Oro Valley Historical Society continues its informative exhibit – America’s Semiquincentennial and Arizona Statehood in the Pusch House Museum at historic Steam Pump Ranch.  How soon after the U.S. won its independence did Arizona become a state?  Our friendly volunteers will answer your questions and provide additional information.  Entrance to the Museum is free with donations gratefully accepted.
In addition, our naturalist will take you on a gentle one-hour guided tour of the Ranch sharing information about the people and plants who occupied and still occupy this space.  The tour will end in the Society maintained Heritage Garden where you will see plants that have been a part of our diet for thousands of years.  Also on display is a replica of a Hohokam pit house so that you can see how Indigenous people lived in Oro Valley before we did.
