Pledged Partners

The Santa Cruz Valley National Heritage Area is comprised of a growing alliance of partners and stakeholders that recognize the critical importance of acknowledging the rich cultural heritage, living traditions, and the events and places that have shaped this nationally distinctive landscape in Pima and Santa Cruz counties and have pledged their support to its stewardship.

The goal of this alliance of partners is to collaboratively protect and enhance the natural and cultural places, historic communities, and living traditions that define the Santa Cruz Valley National Heritage Area.

The Alliance will:

  • Protect important natural and heritage resources, promote a sense of place and regional identity, celebrate our living traditions, and provide new economic opportunities.
  • Encourage voluntary, collaborative and locally-led conservation in maintaining and enhancing heritage resources and working landscapes.
  • Develop public-private partnerships to implement projects and develop educational opportunities to engage the public and visitors to the region.
