Laugh and Learn

Join the Oro Valley Historical Society as we hear from Roger Nichols, Board member, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Arizona, who will share his collection of American Indians cartoons gathered over 30 years. His belief, that they are the only ethnic minority in our society that shows up regularly in cartoons because of public stereotypes, will be on display.  Coverage ranges from the Norse forays into North America more than a thousand years ago to NASA’s current space explorations.  The lecture promises to be both enlightening and entertaining.  The presentation is free with donations gratefully accepted to keep Oro Valley history alive!
